His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, is pleased herebypursuant to the definition "Minister" in section 2 of the Statistics Act and paragraph (b) of the definition "appropriate Minister" in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, to revoke Order in Council P.C. 1989-137 of January 30, 1989*;pursuant to the definition "Minister" in section 2 of the Statistics Act, to designate the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology, a member of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that Act; andpursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition "appropriate Minister" in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, to designate the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology as the appropriate Minister with respect to Statistics Canada for the purposes of that Act.SI/89-67, 1989 Canada Gazette Part II, p. 1447
