Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that it is in the public interest, is pleased hereby, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance and the Treasury Board, pursuant to section 17* of the Financial Administration Act, to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of customs duties on pasta.*S.C. 1980-81-82-83, c. 170, s. 4Short Title

1This Order may be cited as the Pasta Remission Order 1988.

Remission

2Subject to section 4, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on pasta containing only flour and water and imported under tariff item 1902.19.90 of the Customs Tariff during the period beginning January 1, 1988 and ending July 31, 1995.SI/95-89, s. 1

3Subject to section 4, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on pasta containing only flour and water and imported under tariff item 1902.19.91 of the Customs Tariff on or after August 1, 1995.SI/95-89, s. 1

Condition

4The remission referred to in sections 2 and 3 is granted on condition that a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within three years after the date of importation of the pasta.SI/95-89, s. 1
