His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a)a of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Actb, transfers to the Minister of HealthaS.C. 2003, c. 22, s. 207bR.S., c. P-34(a)effective October 7, 2013,(i)all of the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food under the Canadian Food Inspection Agency Actc, except the powers, duties or functions conferred on the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food under subsection 4(2) of that Act that do not relate to food safety,cS.C. 1997, c. 6(ii)all of the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food relating to food safety under any Act of Parliament, and(iii)the control and supervision of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency; and(b)effective on the day on which the Safe Food for Canadians Actd comes into force under s. 111 of that Act, all of the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food relating to food safety under that Act.dS.C. 2012, c. 24
