His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby(a)pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition department in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Acta, designates Shared Services Canada as a department for the purposes of that Act, and(b)pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition deputy head in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Acta, designates the President of Shared Services Canada as the deputy head of that entity for the purposes of that Act,effective August 4, 2011.aS.C. 2003, c. 22, ss. 12 and 13
