Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby(a)pursuant to paragraph 2(a)a of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, transfersaS.C. 2003, c. 22, s. 207(i)from the Department of Social Development to the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development the control and supervision of all of the portions of the federal public administration within the Department of Social Development, and(ii)from the Minister of Social Development to the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development all of the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Social Development under any Act of Parliament, and(b)pursuant to paragraph 2(b) of that Act, amalgamates and combines the Department of Social Development and the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development under the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and under the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development,effective February 6, 2006.SI/2008-137.
