Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby(a)transfers to the Department of Transport the control and supervision of the following portions of the public service in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans:(i)the Office of Boating Safety,(ii)the Canada Shipping Act 2001 Regulatory Reform Team,(iii)the Navigable Waters Protection Division, and(iv)the Environmental Response Division except for the portion of that group responsible for carrying out the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans under section 678 of the Canada Shipping Act; and(b)transfers from the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans to the Minister of Transport the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans under paragraphs 519(a), (b) and (d) and sections 562.15 and 562.16 of the Canada Shipping Act.
