Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that it is in the public interest to do so, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 23(2.1)a of the Financial Administration Act, hereby makes the annexed Firearms Fees Remission Order (Registration Certificate).aS.C. 1991, c. 24, s. 7(2)Remission

1(1)In this section, personalized application form means an application form on which the Registrar of Firearms sets out the applicant’s name, a return date and a bar code.(2)Remission of the fee for a registration certificate under subsection 10(3) of the Firearms Fees Regulations is hereby granted to any individual who pays the fee before receiving in the mail a personalized application form for the registration certificate from the Registrar of Firearms.

Condition

2The remission is granted on the condition that the fee is paid during the period beginning on October 1, 1998 and ending on June 30, 2002.
