Territories, and Head of the Commonwealth; (<DefinedTermFr>Sa Majesté</DefinedTermFr>, <DefinedTermFr>la Reine</DefinedTermFr>, <DefinedTermFr>le Roi</DefinedTermFr> ou <DefinedTermFr>la Couronne</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279497" lims:id="279497"><Text><DefinedTermEn>Her Majesty’s Realms and Christmas Day; the birthday or the day fixed by proclamation for the celebration of the birthday of the reigning Sovereign; Victoria Day; Canada Day; the first Monday in September, designated Labour Day; National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which is observed on September 30; Remembrance Day; any day appointed by proclamation to be observed as a day of general prayer or mourning or day of public rejoicing or thanksgiving; and any of the following additional days, namely,</Text><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279500" lims:id="279500"><Label>(a)</Label><Text>in any province, any day appointed by proclamation of the lieutenant governor of the province to be observed as a public holiday or as a day of general prayer or mourning or day of public rejoicing or lims:fid="279509" lims:id="279509"><Label>(a)</Label><Text>the lieutenant governor of the province indicated by the enactment acting by and with the advice of, by and with the advice and consent of, or in conjunction with, the executive council,</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279510" lims:id="279510"><Label>(b)</Label><Text>in Yukon, the Commissioner of Yukon acting with the consent of the Executive Council of Yukon,</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279511" lims:id="279511"><Label>(c)</Label><Text>in the Northwest Territories, the Commissioner of the Northwest Territories acting with the consent of the Executive Council of the Northwest Territories, and</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279512" lims:id="279512"><Label>(d)</Label><Text>in Nunavut, the Commissioner; (<DefinedTermFr>lieutenant-gouverneur en solemn affirmation or declaration may be made instead of an oath, and in the same cases the expression <DefinedTermEn>sworn</DefinedTermEn> includes the expression “affirmed” or “declared”; (<DefinedTermFr>serment</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279517" lims:id="279517"><Text><DefinedTermEn>Parliament</DefinedTermEn> means the Parliament of Canada; (<DefinedTermFr>Parlement</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279518" lims:id="279518"><Text><DefinedTermEn>person</DefinedTermEn>, or any word or expression descriptive of a person, includes a lims:id="279519"><Text><DefinedTermEn>proclamation</DefinedTermEn> means a proclamation under the Great Seal; (<DefinedTermFr>proclamation</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279520" lims:id="279520"><Text><DefinedTermEn>province</DefinedTermEn> means a province of Canada, and includes Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut; (<DefinedTermFr>province</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279521" lims:id="279521"><Text><DefinedTermEn>radio</DefinedTermEn> or <DefinedTermEn>radiocommunication</DefinedTermEn> means any transmission, emission or reception of signs, signals, writing, images, sounds or intelligence of any nature by means of electromagnetic waves of frequencies lower than 3 000 GHz propagated in space without artificial guide; (<DefinedTermFr>radiocommunication</DefinedTermFr> ou <DefinedTermFr>radio</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279522" lims:id="279522"><Text><DefinedTermEn>regular force</DefinedTermEn> means the component of the Canadian Forces that is referred to in the <XRefExternal reference-type="act" link="N-5">National Defence Act</XRefExternal> as the regular force; (<DefinedTermFr>force régulière</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279523" lims:id="279523"><Text><DefinedTermEn>reserve force</DefinedTermEn> means the component of the Canadian Forces that is referred to in the <XRefExternal reference-type="act" link="N-5">National Defence Act</XRefExternal> as the reserve force; (<DefinedTermFr>force de réserve</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279524" lims:id="279524"><Text><DefinedTermEn>security</DefinedTermEn> means sufficient security, and <DefinedTermEn>sureties</DefinedTermEn> means sufficient sureties, and when those words are used one person is sufficient therefor, unless otherwise expressly required; (<DefinedTermFr>caution</DefinedTermFr> ou <DefinedTermFr>cautionnement</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279525" lims:id="279525"><Text><DefinedTermEn>standard time</DefinedTermEn>, except as otherwise provided by any proclamation of the Governor in Council that may be issued for the purposes of this definition Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Newfoundland standard time, being three hours and thirty minutes behind Greenwich time,</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2015-02-26" lims:fid="279527" lims:id="279527"><Label>(b)</Label><Text>in relation to the Provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, that part of the Province of Quebec lying east of the sixty-third meridian of west longitude, and that part of Nunavut lying east of the sixty-eighth meridian of west longitude, Atlantic standard time, being four hours behind Greenwich
